Jian Chen holds degrees in English and Law and a master’s degree in law from East China University of Political Science and Law.

Mr. Chen has extensive experience in maritime litigation and arbitration. He has acted in disputes involving maritime and admiralty law, international trade, Sino-foreign equity and cooperative joint ventures, foreign investment and M&A, recovery of non-performing assets, private equity investments and valuation adjustment agreements. He has particular experience in dispute resolution involving shipping, foreign investment and M&A, and air carriage.

His principal practice areas are maritime law, corporate law and foreign investment law. His background in languages, finance and accounting enables him to approach matters from both legal and commercial perspectives when advising domestic and international companies.
