Jeffrey started practicing law in 1994 and has studied in Australia and studied and worked and Singapore. In 2003, he was nominated for the "Shanghai Outstanding Young Lawyer Award" and was selected as one of the first batch of foreign-related legal talents by Shanghai Law Society in 2019. He is currently an active member of the Shanghai Law Society, Shanghai Foreign Legal Research Association, the Asia Pacific Law Association (LawAsia), International Tax Planning Association (ITPA), and Shanghai branches of chambers of commerce of several foreign countries.

Jeffrey has served as a legal advisor for a European based private bank and an European Headquartered Investment Company in China, he also established and maintained a reliable legal service cooperation network in jurisdictions such as ASEAN countries, Australia and New Zealand. His main business areas include foreign-related taxation (international tax compliance and planning), corporate compliance and governance, and dispute resolution. Recently, his practice focuses on cross-border investment (including M&A), international trade in goods and services (including cross-border e-commerce), investment framework and tax planning, international commercial arbitration, financial consumers’ rights protection, and cross-border data streaming compliance.
