Jian Chen has been in legal practice for 38 years and has handled more than 3,000 matters, with a longstanding focus on real estate and construction.
Mr. Chen has also contributed extensively to legal publishing, public legal education and professional exchange. He served as a legal Q&A editor for Real Estate News, appeared as a guest on the media program Lawyers at Work, and was a deputy editor of A Lawyer’s Guide to Home Buying. He was featured in Profiles of Real Estate Lawyers and has led seven regional forums and seminars on legal issues relating to real estate investment. He has also served in an appointed legal capacity in initiatives involving Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Matters handled by Mr. Chen have been included as illustrative cases in A Compendium of Model Legal Documents by Chinese Lawyers and Selected Defense Submissions by Leading Lawyers. He was the subject of Lawyer Chen Jian, a documentary in Wuzhou Media’s large-scale series A Glimpse of China. - Participated in the legal feasibility assessment for the proposed Yanhuang Cultural City project involving Shanghai University and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
- Participated in the legal feasibility assessment for the proposed Zhongshitong Film and Television Education project in Wuxi, involving the China Television Technology Association and Beijing Zhongshitong.
