Ziyuan Chen holds an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Sheffield. He is a member of the Bankruptcy and Non-performing Assets Practice Research Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, Deputy Chair of the Bankruptcy Settlement Practice Research Committee of the Shanghai Association of Bankruptcy Administrators, and an adjunct supervisor for master’s degree candidates at Shanghai International Studies University.

Mr. Chen’s practice focuses on corporate law, restructuring and insolvency, and cross-border legal matters. He has led a wide range of bankruptcy liquidation and compulsory liquidation proceedings and has advised a number of state-owned enterprises on equity acquisitions, M&A transactions and corporate restructurings.

Mr. Chen has also advised on the registration and regulatory filings of private fund managers, assisting a number of managers in securing registration with the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC). He has substantial experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
